Summer heat can be tough on lawns, especially cool-season grasses like Fescue, which thrive in moderate temperatures. With the rise in summer temperatures, it's common to see your lawn struggling—whether it’s slowing growth or fading color.

A lush, green lawn is the pride of any homeowner, but achieving and maintaining that vibrant color isn't just about regular mowing and watering. One often overlooked factor that can significantly affect the health of your lawn is the acidity of your soil. If your soil's pH level is out of balance, it can lead to a host of problems, including poor grass growth, increased weed presence, and susceptibility to pests. In the eastern United States, where rain-prone climates are common, soil acidity is a prevalent issue.

July broke heat records across the state, but the July Lawn of the Month winners didn't sweat the heat one bit! It was very difficult selecting this round of winners given the amazing submissions we received! First, we have the Shaw Family in Herndon, VA. Their lawn was nominated by their Service Leader, and they weren't wrong with their nomination! We're so excited to see lawns looking this beautiful.
