Buster's Buddies Pet Supply Drive

Lending a paw to help area shelters.

Text

We love seeing happy pets on healthy green lawns. It’s why we support organizations that help animals find loving forever homes.

But many of these shelters are overwhelmed and in need of resources. So, our official spokesdog Buster is partnering with local schools to collect new and gently used pet supplies that will support area shelters and keep tails wagging.

If you want to "lend a paw," shelters need toys, food, cleaning supplies, towels, beddings, leashes, and more.

To find one of Buster's donation boxes near you, or if you'd like to have one placed at your business, email busters@virginiagreen.com or call 804.385.6200.

Verbolten

Heritage Humane Society

Hey, there—Verbolten here. An unusual name? Perhaps—but if you’ve ever ridden the roller coaster that shares my name at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, you’ll realize that my name is entirely appropriate! I’m also a bit of a thrill-ride, packed into the 35-pound body of a mini pittie puppy, and able to go from zero-to-fifty miles per hour in the blink of an eye! If you are looking to make 2024 an action-packed year, you’ll want to take this Verbolten for a spin. But have no fear—I have plenty of time for kisses and cuddles and snuggles, too. Maybe you have the time to think about letting me share your lawn and your home with you?

Gilly

Fredericksburg SPCA

Howdy! I’m Gilly … and I’m a little bit silly! I don’t rhyme all the time (oops!) but I wanted you to get a sense of my playful personality. I am a very friendly, incredibly outgoing fella who never has a problem making new friends, whether they have four legs or just two. As a two-year old mixed breed, I’m proud to have already learned commands like “sit” and “down,” especially when I’m rewarded with a treat. And speaking of which, it would be a real treat if I could find a new friend with a home and a lawn, where I can run and play every day. Hey, I rhymed again!

Archie

Heritage Humane Society

Pleased to meet you—my name is Archie. I’m an adorable, amazingly adoptable pup who aims to earn a permanent place in your heart—a skill that comes naturally to me! Get to know me and you’ll find that I have personality to spare, filling any room I’m in with a nearly non-stop display of cute and quirky antics. I’m a bit of a ham who loves to get a laugh! And since Valentine’s Day is this month, it seems appropriate for me to share that love with you, especially if you would love to share your home and your lawn with me.

Mikey

Fredericksburg SPCA

Hello! You can call me Mikey. I’m a big boy who loves to be at the center of attention—especially when that attention centers around getting lots of loving scratches on my hindquarters! I love to stay active, taking long walks or playing a friendly game of fetch, but I am just as content to enjoy a laid-back afternoon of relaxation, too. At three-years old, I’ve already learned to respond to commands like “sit”—but what I’ve learned most recently is that I would really enjoy a lawn and a home that I can call my own.
