Getting Started
We’re so excited that you have chosen Virginia Green as your lawn care partner. Within 2-3 business days, an account manager will contact you by email or phone to go over a few details, which include:
- Confirming your lawn measurements
- Discussing your first service
- Answering any questions you might have

What to Expect
Virginia Green’s in-house agronomists (soil scientists) and certified technicians work together to determine and then deliver what your lawn needs to thrive, including fertilization and weed control.
Throughout the year, we will apply different combinations of fertilizers and pesticides to create and maintain a healthy and beautiful lawn. The majority of these treatments will be liquid applications (including fertilizer, weed control, fungicides, insecticides, and pre-emergents), while both lime and fall fertilizer applications are in granular form.
Once an application has dried (which usually takes an hour), your lawn is immediately able to be used by the people and pets in your home who enjoy it most.

We are committed to bringing your lawn the best possible care, but the truth is we can’t do it alone. Mother Nature, Virginia Green and you all play distinct roles in your lawn’s health and appearance. Here’s how you can help bring out the best in your lawn:
- Mowing at the tallest setting (3.5″ or taller), with clippings left on the lawn
- Watering 2-3 times per week (if there’s no rain) between 4 a.m. and 9 a.m.
- Leaf-removal several times per week in the fall. Use a leaf blower or mulching mower for best results

Virginia Green Customer Portal
Virginia Green has a user-friendly customer portal where you can quickly and easily view past and future treatments, pay your bill, securely add a credit card for auto-payment, sign-up for additional services, and more.
To create your account, visit our customer portal and follow the brief instructions on-screen. You’ll need to enter your house number, account number, ZIP Code, and preferred email address. Once your account is established you can reach it anytime from the “Login” button at the top right corner of our homepage.
Our website also has a lot of useful tips from our team on watering, weeds, lawn disease, mowing, and more! All this can be found on the pages linked from the Resources tab. Additionally, be on the lookout for our monthly e-newsletter, which has seasonal updates and lawn care tips from our team of experts.
