Lawn of the Month Winners - 2025 October
We’re excited to share October’s Lawn of the Month! Four beautiful homes have been recognized for their curb appeal and healthy turf. Even with shifting weather from summer heat to early fall, these lawns continued to thrive. Meet this month’s winners below!
The Gallup Family – Fredericksburg, VA
For the Gallup family, a great lawn comes from care, consistency, and attention to detail. “Thanks to your treatment. It looks better than it has in years,” they shared. Their flower garden borders the lawn near the driveway and walkway, filled with zinnias, lantana, and other perennials that have bloomed beautifully all summer. Even now, the colors still stand out against the lush green grass. The dogwood tree in their yard is a memorial to Mr. Gallup’s father-in-law, a meaningful gift from his wife’s coworkers. The Gallup family shows how expert care and personal touches can make a lawn truly special.
The Hill Family - Mechanicsville, VA
For the Hill family, lawn care is all about teamwork and communication. “What makes our yard unique is it's a beautiful lawn. Perhaps the best lawn in the neighborhood,” they shared. Their success comes from close coordination with their Virginia Green technician, Johnny. By planning treatments, mowing before each visit, and using a mulching mower to recycle clippings, they’ve built a routine that keeps their lawn looking its best. The Hills credit their lawn’s healthy, uniform look to consistent communication and a shared goal of excellence.
The O'Dell Family - Keswick, VA
The O’Dell family has been part of the Virginia Green family since 2020 and takes great pride in keeping their lawn looking beautiful year-round. “We’ve been with Virginia Green since 2020 and take great care of our yard, especially because Virginia Green has given us such a great start,” they shared. “There’s no one we’ve spoken to at Virginia Green who isn’t hardworking and dedicated to keeping our lawn looking its best.” They also gave a special shout-out to Trey, Will with Piedmont, and Joshua for their outstanding service and attention to detail. The O’Dells’ lush lawn is a perfect example of how partnership and consistent care create lasting results.
The Zilli Family - Williamsburg, VA
The Zilli family takes great pride in maintaining a lawn that always looks its best. Their commitment to care and preparation shows in every detail. “It has just been prepared for your aeration and seeding on September 22 or 23, 2025. Thank you,” shared Nancy Bass Zilli. By staying ahead of each season, the Zillis make sure their lawn receives the attention it needs at the right time. Their dedication to aeration, seeding, and consistent maintenance keeps their yard healthy, full, and vibrant throughout the year. A well-prepared lawn is no accident, and the Zilli family’s results speak for themselves.
