Message from Gil: Looking Ahead To A Strong Fall
This year presented some notable challenges for lawn care across our region. An unusually brief spring transitioned quickly into a hot, wet summer, putting stress on turfgrass and increasing the need for irrigation and maintenance. The return of consistent rainfall brought its own demands, keeping our team actively engaged throughout the season. We truly value your continued trust in Virginia Green, especially during a year when weather conditions affected lawns in different ways. Please know we are committed to supporting your lawn’s recovery and long-term health, and we are always here if you have questions or concerns.
As we move into fall, aeration and seeding are well underway. We are already seeing healthy germination in many properties, which is an encouraging sign for lawns heading into winter. Alongside seeding, our dry fertilizer application is delivering phosphorus and other key nutrients that promote deep root development. This is an important step in preparing your lawn for the months ahead.
We are also beginning to see germination of common fall weeds. Our seventh round of service for Premium and Estate Care customers includes targeted treatments to address these weeds and help ensure a cleaner, healthier lawn come spring.
October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Virginia Green is proud to support this vital cause. Our Service Leaders and staff will be wearing pink throughout the month to raise awareness and show our commitment to access, education, and care for all those affected. We will also be at the Making Strides walk in Richmond, VA on Saturday, October 18th, come stop by!
We hope you are able to enjoy the cooler temperatures and the beauty of the fall season. Thank you, as always, for choosing Virginia Green to care for your lawn.
Warm regards,
