Make Sure You Don’t Cut Too Short!

Mower Height

Mower height is essential when it comes to keeping a healthy lawn.

If you have a fescue lawn, your lawn should be cut at 3 to 4 inches all year long.  For Bermuda and Zoysia lawns, 1 to 2 inches.  If you have a landscaper that maintains your lawn for you, make sure you tell them that you want your grass cut on the highest setting on their mowers and please leave your grass clippings on the ground!  Grass clippings are full of nitrogen and other nutrients.  Removing them deprives the lawn of free fertilizer.
