August 2023 Lawn of the Month Winners

We are excited to announce our August Lawn of the Month winners! If you weren’t chosen, next month is another opportunity to show off your lawn and we can’t wait to see how lawns will thrive after aeration and seeding. Remember, each month is a new chance to win $75 toward a future application.

First, we have the Eckenrode family of Williamsburg, VA. The Eckenrode family has been with Virginia Green for the past two years and is on the Premium Lawn Care program. With their submission they stated, “It’s challenging to keep the weeds at bay with the wet year we have had. VA Green’s well-timed pre-emergent and post-emergent applications have really helped me win the weed battle.” We’re happy to hear that the weeds are under control and your lawn looks really great. Your shrubs near your home definitely heighten your landscape.

Second, we have the Tyree family from Midlothian, VA. With their submission they stated, “Our lawn has benefitted from Virginia Green’s Estate program. We like the recommendations on care that are included in every service email after completion of service. In the past two years since we have moved here the neighbors say the yard has changed tremendously! Thank you.” You’re very welcome, Tyree family. Your lawn has indeed experienced a great transformation and has been able to withstand the heat of summer.

Third, we have the Lauby family from Fairfax Station, VA. The Lauby family has been with Virginia Green for the past nine months and is on the Premium Lawn Care program. With their submission, they informed us, “Virginia Green has done an excellent job keeping the lawn lush, green, and weed-free. Our recent guests said our lawn looked like carpet and was the best-looking lawn in the neighborhood. We also started to get Virginia Green’s mosquito service, which allows us to enjoy the lawn even more in the evenings. Thanks, Virginia Green!” You’re very welcome, Lauby family. Your lawn looks amazing! Your guests were correct in saying that your lawn looks like a beautiful green carpet. We’re happy to hear that you are pleased with the services we have been providing for your lawn.

Next up, we have the Uzzell family from Burke, VA. The Uzzell family has been with Virginia Green for the past two years and is on the Estate Lawn Care program. With their submission they stated, “Our lawn has never been thicker and greener this late in the year. The lawn has held up well over the high heat this summer and the Estate program has really made a difference. We keep the mower height at four inches and avoid mowing during the extreme heat. Now, we are looking forward to aeration and overseeding in a couple of weeks and the start of another great year of excellent service!” We love to hear it, Uzzell family. You are doing all the right things for your lawn this summer—keep up the great work! We can’t wait to see what your lawn will look like in the spring after aeration and seeding this fall. Your lawn certainly looks lush and thick.

Now, we have the Stenson family from Centreville, VA. The Stenson family has been a part of the Virginia Green family for the past two and a half years and is on the Estate Lawn Care program. With their submission they stated, “Since Virginia Green started caring for our lawn with the Estate Plan, we have not had moles or fungus, which were a yearly problem previously. In addition, our lawn is bright green and lush all season long.” We’re happy to hear that the previous issues you were having with your lawn are no longer occurring this year. It’s great to hear that your lawn has been green and lush all season long. We wouldn’t have it any other way!

Sixth, we have the Orefice family from Fairfax, VA. They have been with Virginia Green for the past two and a half years and are on the Premium Lawn Care program. With their submission, they informed us, “It has never looked healthier, thicker, or greener. Nor has it ever been so free of weeds. I consistently receive raves from the community on its curb appeal and regularly tell admirers without reservation that the lawn’s condition is best attributed to Virginia Green.” WOW, Orefice family. Your lawn is ravishing all around your home—from every angle. With aeration and seeding done last fall, it has really transformed your lawn. We can tell that there is not a single weed in sight and the lawn has a wonderful, deep green color.

Last but not least, we have the Ambler family from Richmond, VA. The Ambler family has been with Virginia Green for the past 13 years. Thank you, Ambler family, for being long-standing customers with Virginia Green. Your lawn looks like a soft, cozy, deep green, lush carpet. It looks like if you walked on it, your feet would thank you! Such a beautiful lawn to have in the summer. Everything that you have been doing, continue to do! Your application of seasonal potassium did the trick.

With the summer heat, we know lawns have been struggling but it’s great to see many lawns still thriving. We know with aeration and seeding occurring, lawns come spring will be great!
